Samar Adivasi, a 20-month-old boy from Bhadababdi village, was identified as severely malnourished (SAM) on July 10, 2023. At the time, he weighed only 4 kg and measured 64 cm in height. His parents, Sanjay and Vimlesh Adivasi, worked as daily laborers and struggled to provide consistent care. Samar's condition worsened following a bout of diarrhea, leaving him extremely weak.
During a routine monitoring visit, the team noted Samar’s critical condition and advised immediate admission to a Nutritional Rehabilitation Center (NRC). Initially hesitant due to livelihood concerns, Samar’s parents agreed after rigorous counseling.

By March 10, 2024, Samar’s health had significantly improved. He now weighs 7.5 kg, stands 70 cm tall, and has transitioned to a normal nutritional status.
Samar’s parents expressed heartfelt gratitude, acknowledging the team’s role in their child’s recovery. The Anganwadi Worker (AWW) noted that the team’s efforts eased their work and brought much-needed awareness to the community.
